How Night Vision Works - Part 1

'Night Vision' as referenced here is that technology that provides the phenomenon of visual identification in total darkness and the improvement of general vision in low light conditions.

Night Vision/Image Intensification technology is an culmination of several different methods each having their own advantages and disadvantages. The most common methods as described below are Low-Light ImagingThermal Imaging and Near-infrared Illumination.

The most common applications for Night Vision capabilities include but aren't limited to defence, law enforcement, night driving or flying, night security and surveillance, wildlife observation, sleep lab monitoring and search & rescue. A wide range of Night Vision products are available to suit the various requirements that may exist for these applications.
